Caves of the Kraken Cult
Chapter 3 Episode 3

29th of Eryman 1474

After the death of the Vizier the heroes patched up their relationship with the Horned Alliance, while Zaibon returned Leria to the heroes unharmed. Melas asked for Zaibon's permission to rescue Kato from the Kraken Cult, but Melas was shot down by Zadi. Darien was reunited with his brother Alexandros and together the heroes decided that they would try and rescue Kato despite the risk of angering Zaibon.

Descending the heroes explored the tomb of Thalassa a demigod daughter of Melora, and Leria retrieved the legendary artifact Wave (despite almost getting killed by a Death Knight). The heroes continued to explore the cavern, fighting against Skol Gibbeth a Kraken Priest and Starlord who had transformed into a Gibbering Orb. Defeating Skol the heroes pressed on despite Melas's increasing feeling of doom.

Arriving at a underground lake, Melas and Wave sensed a powerful presence beneath the water, before the heroes could flee an army of Kuo-Toa and Chuul attacked them while waves crashed all around. During the chaos of battle a tentacle rose from the water and slammed into Rath killing her instantly. After that it was a mad fight for survival, in the end even Melas's quick summoning of his snake was not enough to turn the tide of battle. The heroes were taken captive by the Kuo-Toa, and are now being brought before their new masters, the sinister Illithids of Io'garaloth…

Chapter 3 Episode 2

20th of Eryman 1474 DY
Darien has spent the last few days searching for Iojad, unfortunately the only information he got led him into a trap placed by Iojad himself, leading to Darien narrowly escaping Iojad's shock troops. Arriving back at the ship Dairen learned of Leria's imprisonment, and the situation with the Vizier, after debating the issue with Melas, he and Rath took off to warn Fulvous and the Vizier. Melas and Zalios set about following the Vizier in his routine in an attempt to learn the best time to attack him, with the help of Johias.

Fulvous spoke with Rath and Darien, requesting protection for the pair from the Empire. The Legionnaires reluctanlty agreed leading Rath back to the Temple. Unfortuantly Darien was intercepted by Prismeous on his way back, and was brought before Zaibon. Darien ran into Iojad on Hellstrike who was trying to illegally sell weapons to Zaibon. Iojad completed his deal with the Horned Alliance, and after some threats Darien agreed to help kill the Vizier.

Joining up with Melas, Zalios, and the Horned Alliance representative Suffer, the heroes snuck through Dragon's Grotto and kill the Vizier taking his head with them.

Chapter 3 Episode 1

16th of Eyrman 1474 DY

Leria, Melas, Fulvous, and Rath began to help the survivors of the wreck, with Leria even saving Vizier Nharrek from being trapped under some rumble. Using the disaster as an distraction, Melas and Leria snuck into the Venomspine Grotto to steal the Catastrophic dragon eggs from the Morkoth. They instead discovered that the eggs where missing and that the captain of the Morkoth was secretly working for Senestrago. One of Senestrago's captains a stout dwarven woman flanked by Iron Defenders searched the ship only to find it empty as well, she however decided to burn it to the ground.

Meanwhile back at the wreck Rath continued to tend to the wounded. Fulvous was apporached by Vizier Nharrek and given a magical amulet that was meant as a thank you to Leria for saving his life. Fulvous instead wanted to keep it for himself.

Returning back to the ship the heroes were greeted by a summons to Hellstrike, the island fortress of the Horned Alliance to finally revice their mission. Unable to find Darien, Fulvous and Rath decided to accompany them to the ship instead. A tall cloaked figure was talking to Zaibon and Suffer (one of his enforcers), before exiting. Zaibon ordered the party to kill Vizier Nharrek to pay back Leria's debt. She signed a blood contract and was instructed to kill him within a fortnight or face the consequences.

As they returned they spotted a strange ship floating towards the city away from Hellstrike. As they landed Melas and Leria went to investigate the ship, while Fulvous snuck off to the Dragon's Grotto. Melas and Leria happened to see the strange hooded figure go into the Temple of Melora. Following him inside they snuck past the "priests" to find a strange hidden passageway. Melas began to have disturbing visions and hear haunting voices as he was drawn deeper. Eventually he was broken from his trance by an earthquake coming from below. Leria and Melas killed the Priests but did not escape before a Hooded Figure attacked them, revealing itself to be a Mindflayer. The pair fought against the creature and drove it off, but only after almost getting killed.

Fulvous had taken a liking to Vizier Nharrek, and decided to warn the Imperial Guard about the attack. Showing them the amulet given to him by the Vizier, Fulvous convinced them of the threat posed by the Horned Alliance and Leria herself (albeit unwillingly). The Vizier took Fulvous in as a servant/advisor as a reward for this tip off and sent men to detain and question Leria.

When Leria and Melas arrived back at the ship Leria was arrested by the guards and taken to fairly pleasant accomdations. The rest of the crew were questioned, and under suspicoion but where not yet arrested.

Melas spoke to Johias about the situation and spoke of what they were going to do about poor Leria and the Vizier. It was decided that Melas would kill him so that Zaibon wouldn't kill Leria, then Melas began to follow around the Vizier discovering Fulvous following him around declaring our feathered friend a traitor. Melas and Fulvous watched as Imperial Legoinnares raided Impy's putting many of the patreons their to the sword, including the parties friend and ally Excellence. Impy himself managed to escape.

Chapter 2 Episode 10

As Mheletros roars shook Zardkarath, the heroes continued to search for Vulas. Prismeous threatened Rath believing her to be the cause of the betrayal. Being short on time the heroes freed Vulas who was happy to be reunited with his love Priscilla and his sister Lyria. As they freed Vulas Mheletros burst through the ceiling intent on devouring the heroes. Prismeous stared downed Mheletros with his Dragonslayer Greatbow with Fulvous staying behind to help. Giving the others time to run further Prismeous lured the dragon into a trap as it bared down on him collapsing a section of the wall on himself and Fulvous, who narrowly escaped after stabbing the dragon in the back.

The heroes escaped the prison after an exciting chase, where Rath was nearly caught by the Mheletros. Getting onto The Eldritch Storm the heroes where attacked by a Dragovar Warship only being saved by the The Sliver Lining. After laying low in Anchortown for a few weeks with Vulas and Priscilla, the heroes returned to Io'garaloth after saying there goodbyes. Vulas gave his sister his hat and asked her not to tell her father of their meeting.

In Io'garaloth Melas and Lyria discovered that Kato was missing and that a halfing named Oleander has taken his place at the head of the information brokerage. Haegar Kreed informed Darien that he would need to stay in town to repay his favor, which Zaibon would soon be calling in. Melas and Lyria found out the cargo of the Morkoth was catastrophic dragon eggs which are highly explosive and apparently a few other interested parties have found out about them.

As the heroes returned to the ship they noticed the impressive imperial warship Ashe-Naga which was carrying Vizier Nharrek who was in town to root out Myrthon Symathizers. However before the ship could reach the Dragon's Grotto an explosion erupted from it's hull blasting the ship apart.

Chapter 2 Episode 9

Alongside Anarchist Priscilla the heroes traveled back to Io'garaloth to make the final preparations to free Vulas from the island prison of Zardkarath. Melas did a ritual to restore his memory though he was horrified at the results. The Horned Alliance sent Prismeous to guide them through the prison, as he is well versed with it's lay out. Arriving safely in the prison, Melas freed the infamous Vanatjar a former Sea King, much to the dismay of Rath and Darien. Sneaking past a checkpoint the party stole a key from Cale Blackstrad whom Prismeous horribly scarred.

The party continued to make there way through the prison nearly being caught by  a guard who surrendered rather than raising an alarm. Priscillia however killed him, much to the anger of Darien.

As the heroes began to make there way through the cafeteria they were ambushed by Warden Drax and two dozen of his soldiers, apparently someone had revealed that the heroes were coming. The party fought against Drax (who fought with a spiked chain) allowing Prismeous to finally get his revenge against the men who scarred him.

Now with the alarm raised the heroes must quickly get Vulas out, and escape before the dragon Mheletros arrives.

Fulvous was separated from the rest of our heroes, after their fight with the Behir leading him to be alone deep underground. Fulvous stumbled across a strange procession of Illithids lead by one larger and better armed than the others. After sneaking away from them, Fulvous reunited with Zalios and Rath, helping them bring the bodies of Lyria, Melas and Darien to the surface. Rath and Zalios spoke to Kato and the Horned Alliance about possible options for resurrections. Deciding against further indebting themselves with the Horned Alliance, the heroes snuck into the Dragon's Grotto using forged documents so that they might raise there friends in the temple of Bahamut.

In the Dragon's Grotto, Rath's aunt Malhime recognized her, and tried to get her arrested due to her exile status. Rath would have been imprisoned if not for Castanamir's intervention. Quickly heading to the Temple of Bahamut Lyria, Darien, and Melas where all raised by the High Priestess Imazhia, though some ill effect where left over in each of them.

A few days later the heroes decided to head to Anchortown in search of Vulas's firstmate Priscilla, however before they could depart Demonbinder Kalastryse ambushed them with a Glabrezu demon revealing herself to be a member of the Shan Qabal. Kalastyrse escaped but the Demon was slain. Lyria discovered the Priests of Melora were imposters and refused to sell her pearl to them.

In Anchortown the heroes found Anarchist Priscilla in a rough and tumble inn named the Boiled Cat. Though she was obviously very competent, it appeared she had a bit of a sadistic streak that put some of the heroes (especially Darien) in an uneasy mood. Priscilla did agree to help the party free Vulas, which they now must travel to do.

Lyria discovered the dead body of the old Priest of Melora with a kraken hilted dagger sticking from his back, after removing his body from the pool and sanctifying it Lyria was rewarded.

Before they could reach the Temple however the shadow rider Vanus Tilvarn ambushed them, the party had briefly encountered Tilvarn before in Kheth. Vanus killed Darien which transformed him into a Specter which in turn killed Melas. With some quick thinking Lyria pushed Vanus off a cliff effectively ending the battle.

Abandoning there quest for the shield (which now seemed hopeless) the heroes tried to return to the surface but where attacked by a Mindflayer who dominated Zalios causing him to kill Lyria. Rath managed to drive the Mindflayer away after gravely wounding him with her breath weapon. Now the only survivors Zalios and Rath must find a way to resurrect there allies.

Chapter 2 Episode 5

30th of Io'lor 1474 DY

While waiting aboard the Eldritch Storm, Melas was attacked by a strange creature called a Spider of Leng, barely surviving the attack the crew discovered the Spider stowed away on a shipment of goods purchased from the Temple of Melora. Our heroes went to discuss the intruder on their ship with Kato, and Alyss Tallgrove, before setting off on individual errands. The heroes learned that the Myrthon Regency has separated from the Empire which is prompting a civil war within the Empire. Combined with the news of an entire fleet of warships disappearing has scared the local populace, who wish for the return of the quick return of the Emperor who is out adventuring.

Lyria and Melas went to go speak with some priests of Melora about Lyria's heritage, though the priest was less than helpful. It seems that the church has gone through some hard times lately, even recently being stricken by lightning. Melas decided to purchase a scroll of Augury and later determined that Lyria was half celestial!

Meanwhile Fulvous and Darien spoke with Orson Laro of the Deeplantern guild, hoping to find out information on the shield Fulvous was seeking, and in Darien's case join the guild. Not being able to immediately become a member and unable to reach an agreement on the Shield the pair left the Deeplantern Guild feeling rather disappointed.

Arriving back on the ship the party discovered that an emissary from the Horned Alliance had finally come to give them the information they needed. Haegar Kreed, the childhood bully of Darien had been sent by Zaibon as a test of loyalty, both from Haegar and Darien. Though the negotiations were tense Haegar gave Darien and Lyria the knowledge they needed. He gave Darien blueprints to Toseth's laboratory including a secret way inside, and told Lyria of her brother's connections to the Knights of Ardyn, and his subsequent imprisonment in Zardkarth. Mheletros the Iron dragon, warden of the prison plans to eat Vulas on the 30th of Tamara (1 month away) unless he is ransomed. Kreed offered two options for Lyria, a substantial loan, or an assisted prison break, after debating her options Lyria choose the latter.

Wanting to find out more about Vulas's relationship with the Knights of Ardyn, Lyria accompanied Melas to his rendezvous with Johais. Vulas apparently served with the Knights because of bad blood against the empire, for what they to Bael Nerath in a recent rebellion. Vulas served as a pirate and general disrupter for the Knights in Io'cailoth between his work for his father, but had to quickly leave the city after the palace was destroyed due to an increase in pressure from the Empire. Vulas was apprehended after being separated from his first mate Priscilla.

Lyria decides to join the Knights of Ardyn and assist Melas in his quest. A couple months ago the Captain of the Morkoth was executed for betraying Sea King Kalas, and his ship was taken by the empire and is now being held in the Venomspine Grotto under layers of Imperial red tape. Apparently the Morkoth was carrying a cargo very important to Ardyn, and Melas is to find the ship and retrieve the cargo aboard it. The only lead they have is through the first mate Heron Trickler who is most likely staying at one of the local inns. Heron would know where the ship is and the cargo that is aboard it.

"Deal with the Devil"
Chapter 2 Episode 4

25th of Io'lor 1474 DY

Darien could not find any trace of his father in the city, but did come across his uncle Johias Ilum who spoke to him on the Knights of Ardyn. Johias informed Darien of Melas's importance to the Knights, and asked him to arrange another meeting between them. After agreeing to do so, Darien departed and decided to regroup with his allies.

Melas gathered up some ingredients for the ritual to restore his memory before returning to the ship. The heroes informed each other of their findings before heading to meet with Kato. After being briefed by Kato (now in his Clef disguise) the party met with the tiefling warlock Excellence, who after a good deal of flirting agreed to arrange a meeting with Zaibon.

The ill mannered Prismeus (Lieutenant to Zaibon) met them at Impy's and led them to Hellstrike, the flagship/fortress of the Horned Alliance. The party gave their appeal to Zaibon as he bleached the bones of a dragonborn who crossed him, and he agreed to help them in anyway he could, provided they do a favor for him, to be named at a later date. The party agreed and drank Impstinger to seal the deal.

The next day the party met with Kato for lunch at the Hen and Apple. While they were eating human man approached the parties table offering a message to Darien. He threatened the party with the wrath of Iojad the Elementalist (a member of the Shan Qabal) before detonating an acid bomb in an attempt to kill Darien. While Lyria was hurt (along with several townsfolk) the party survived and fled the scene.

Heading back to the ship discreetly the Kato hoped that the party would avoid trouble with the local authorities urging the party to duck away from the Jhal Shard wizard Toseth, who was patrolling the streets with his procession of Thrulls. Much to his horror Darien recognized one of the Thrulls under the command of Toseth to be his father Denarrion.
